Welcome to CircleMap ("we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you download and use the CircleMap mobile app (“App”). Please read this carefully to understand our policies and practices.

CircleMap is designed with privacy as a priority. We intentionally limit data collection to only what is necessary for the app's educational purpose:

Information Provided by You:
- We do not require you to sign up or submit personal information to use the App.
  If you choose to click on "Terms of Use" or "Privacy Policy" links from within the app, or follow social media links, your device’s browser may collect data governed by those sites.
Automatically Collected Information: We collect the following data automatically:
- Usage data: number of app launches and quizzes taken.
- Crash reports: collected by iOS or third‑party analytics, if enabled, to help improve stability.
Device & Log Information: We may collect non‑personal, device‑generated data such as:
- App version, iOS version, device type.
- Language and time zone settings.

We do NOT collect:

Names, email addresses, or contact information
Precise geolocation
Photos, videos, or audio
Information from the device's clipboard
Data from other apps
Browsing history
User IDs or account information

How We Use Information

We use the collected data only for the following purposes:

To improve the App experience, fix bugs, and develop new features.
To track quiz performance trends in aggregate.
To manage App Store rating prompts based on usage behavior (handled via AppRatingManager), without identifying individual users.

We do not use any data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or sale to third parties.

Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share any user information with third parties. However, we may share anonymized, aggregated statistics about app usage with:

Educational institutions (without personally identifiable information)
Our development team for app improvement purposes

If we are required by law or legal process to disclose information, we will notify parents/guardians as appropriate.

Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

CircleMap is designed to help students learn calculus through fun and interactive practice, and we take children's privacy extremely seriously:

We do not collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent
We collect only minimal information as described above
We do not enable features that would allow children to publicly share personal information
We do not include behavioral advertising within the app
All contextual advertisements (if any) are age-appropriate and reviewed for child safety

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the information collected through CircleMap:

All data is stored locally on the device and is not transmitted to external servers
No data is sent or shared outside the app

Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and notify users through the app or by other means as required by law. Your continued use of CircleMap after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
