This summer, I took “Introduction to Finance & Investment Management” through Columbia University’s Pre-College Programs.

The course covered topics like time value of money, risk and return, valuation, portfolio strategy, and real estate, which ended up being one of the areas I found most interesting.

I’m especially thankful to my professor, Ashish Kohli, who was such a wonderful teacher. He was incredibly kind, patient, and always willing to explain difficult ideas clearly, which made even the 4:30 a.m. classes from Thailand much easier to survive. 😅

I’m really glad I took the course. It helped me connect different areas of finance and made me even more curious about investing.
